![]() HB2706, the Save Women's Sports Bill, passed the AZ House and was sent to the Senate. There is a ton of very vocal opposition, including a list of businesses that activists have gotten to sign a letter of opposition. It is very politically heated. This bill would protect girls sports by ensuring that only biologically female students can play on girls teams. Transgender students would be allowed to play on teams that match their biology, or on co-ed teams. There is nothing discriminatory in this bill. Biology matters. Sports use classifications to divide athletes according to weight, age and sex for a reason. It's common sense. Protect title IX. Protect a level playing field for girls. Protect girls' access to sports and to potential college scholarships. Support HB2706. 1. If you have an account and know how to Request to Speak for committee hearings at the AZ Capitol, there are two pro-life bills that urgently need input. Planned Parenthood has been flooding the system on these. They are mirror bills in the House and the Senate. The basic summary is that this would help create a pilot program similar to a successful one from Texas which creates a hotline connecting women in need to local services and charities that provide help. When women know they can get help and support they typically do not choose abortion. This will cut into the abortion industry's numbers, which is most likelly why they hate it. But the bottom line is that the women of AZ deserve this. Services are already out there, but they may not know how to find them.
